“The first taste is with the nose” said master Pastry Chef Luigi Biasetto smelling his Summer Panettone 2024. We can’t emphasize this enough: this Panettone is INSANELY aromatic.
Compared to its Christmas cousin, Biasetto Summer Panettone is smaller in size and lighter in texture; it’s a tiny treasure chest of Mediterranean flavors. Luigi challenged the Gusti team: “we perfected the cocktail of spices that enrich our Summer Panettone: they’re 13 different infusions. Can you guess what they are?”
Its flavor hits the nostrils with buttery notes and a harmony of fruity sensations. On the tongue it’s immediately sweet, melting away like cotton candy into a surprising fresh feeling with zesty hints. It’s moist, spicy, rich, warm, floral, juicy.
The main ingredients are the Biasetto essentials, sourced as locally as possible: optimal flour from Piacenza, organic acacia honey from Toscana, alpine butter from Asiago, real yolks from fresh eggs, Biasetto’s centenarian sourdough, and finally plump Zibibbo raisins macerated in Marsala wine.
