Meet Casimiro. He came to America thirty years ago from Croatia and loves good food. Yesterday, he came (Gustiamo is on his business route) for the second time to buy our food. Great, a repeat customer is what every merchant wants. He liked the products! Today, he purchased 1 bottle of Cru Di Cures Olive Oil and 6 boxes of Pasta Latini, including farro pasta – he said, he wants to try it. Ok, you might say, what is the story here? The story is that Casimiro is a street vendor; he makes his living selling coffee and fast and packaged foods from his cart. I am touched and very grateful. It tells me, once again, that it is not a matter of money, it is a matter of values. What do you think is important in life?

dear casimiro, thank you very much. I love good food and I undestand your passion. ciao! carla latini
ciao Carla, Casimiro came back to buy the Colomba (see post) and we showed him your comment. He loved it and thanks you very much. He said he cooked the pasta and it was the best he ever tasted.
I have been to the farm where this olive oil is made. Laura, a former school teacher, is the owner and maker. This is absolutely one of the best olive oils I have ever had and I am so happy I can get it in the U.S. and not have to bring the bottles back from Rome! Thank you!
Margaret, what a lovely comment! thank yo uso much. Laura is a smart and very honest person. we love her and her olive oil.
grazie!
What makes you think that because he is a street vendor he’s poor? I find your post a bit offensive- that you insisted the colombo was much too expensive for him.. who are you to determine that based on his occupation?
Being a street vendor does not necessarily imply that you are poor. However, we know Casimiro well and we know for sure that selling food on the streets is a hard life and that for him it was a stretch to afford expensive products. We shared a meal together and, after he tasted real foods, he decided to buy it. Hope this explains our thoughts.
Ciao e grazie for writing!
